Fucking Cowards

Post by Alan Evil »

So, after being elected specifically to get us out of this stupid war in Iraq the Democrats cave in to the whiney little bitch in the White House yet again. When will these stupid fuckers grow some balls?

I guess it goes to prove that the Republican tactic of refusing to answer questions and refusing to negotiate can work when used against a bunch of disjointed fools. Sometimes I really despise our political system. Parliamentary systems just seem so much more... representative.

Watching the Democrats is like watching a bunch of roaches after the lights are turned on (I'm familiar with this from New Orleans): They're running all over the place, running in little half circles, until, low and behold, there's just an empty room and everything's just as fucked up as it was to begin with.

So what are you gonna do about it? The american people vote more for an American Idol than they do for their President. Only half of the population of frankfort even cared to go vote in the primaries. But who cares about voting anymore, with the electoral college. Oligarchy this is, a democracy it really isn't.

Alan, Your second post is much more insightful than the first one. Are you telling me you actually thought the Dems would honor their commitment to the little people that voted them in on the antiwar position? Now that's funny.

Here's a little secret, the cynicism of our political class knows no bounds. The Dems antiwar position was about one thing. GETTING ELECTED! Scumsuckers that they are, even the Dems are reluctant to be seen as pulling the rug out from under the troops. If they had been able to sell their actions as something else, as they tried to do, they'd have done it in a heartbeat. But they won't do it in broad daylight unless they can convinceingly call it something else. It's not about the war, it's about power. Those that want it will do almost anything to get it.

I can't argue with you on that one. You're implying that the Republicans somehow are pure and unsullied by the endless search for increased power. I think the political theater ongoing in Washington proves they're all fools or even worse than fools: greedy, ciminal fools.

Piggie, you've passed 4000 posts?!? That's amazing for someone with so little to say...
