...and Vedauwoo is only 2 hrs. from my pad! Don't be lame like that Red crew that doesn't go anywhere else around here when they're out this way for weeks at a time. If you go to Toulome, I can hook you up with a partner (she works out there).

Ben, I hear some of the S. Platte is back open? Maybe you can show be some of that stuff later this summer. If I don't head to Squamish, I am thinking about hanging out in CO for a few weeks in Aug.

Wes, much of the S. Platte has reopened. Unfortunately, you have to hike a little further to get to one of the really good crags now. The road to it may reopen soon according to a reliable source. Another good section is closed for peregrine nesting until Aug. 1. So, the moral of the story is that if you're out this way soon then go to the Platte anyway. For anyone having a flexible sched. then Sept. would be a better time to hit it because the weather will be good and everything should be more easily accessible and open.

If you're going to Squamish, then I'm jealous.

Cool. I am in Vedauwoo for the next few weeks, then lander, then the tetons, but might head back to CO after that. Or head to Squamish, just not sure yet. You should come of to Vedauwoo some weekend, since you have a job and all now. Climbed with Dana last week. She looked super strong onsighting Spectraman.

Dana is a burly girly. Did she flip when she found out that you knew me? She gives me all kinds of shit for not being able to go climbing with me (except at some of the remote S. Platte areas) without me running into someone I know.

How much longer are you out there? I'll shoot you a PM with my contact info and I'll try to get up there within the next week or 2. Too funny.

Lynne, Tim and I will be climbing on Friday and Saturday of that second week of July, if you'd like to join us. I'm leading 5.7 these days, but can follow harder if you lead. - Brenda

Thanks, Brenda! I'm still trying to get cheap airfare outta here and will know by next Wednesday where I'll be climbing the following week. I may take you up on that offer!! A week at the Red wouldn't be bad at all.
