loose rock on whiteout

Post by Big Perm »

Those two loose rocks on the first pitch of whiteout fell out while I was standing on them this past weekend. No injuries though. Missed my belayer by only a few feet. I bet the larger rock weighed 300+ pounds. It smashed rocks all over the place while it tumbled down into the trees.

The climb looks a lot cleaner now and I bet the 1st pitch is probably a little bit harder.

Those rocks have been loose for awhile now...
Yeah, I bet the first few moves might be interesting...

You talkin' about the big chunks on the flake of the first pitch! SWEEEEEET! I once got behind there, back against the wall and tried to push them off with my feet. I guess I was a few years to early on that stunt.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

There was loose rock at the Zoo yesterday too... except I didn't manage to dodge it  Smacked me right between the eyes, but fortunately didn't weigh 300+ pounds.
