now come on alex..please think thru your kneejerk libbie biased response...
why in the world make people recycle crap that is produced when the rational thing to do would be to not print it in the first place? you are asking me to take their supposely green stance and make it mine. their responsibility should start at home, and not print such excessive waste in the first place.
so lead me thru this....give me 7 recylced renewal cards that I am telling you I don't need, spend the energy sending them to me, and then watch me put them back in the recycling bin to be recycled for the next issue which has 7 more re-recycled renewal cards....
brilliant. there is this newfangled thing called "commonsense" I heard about.

Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
come on sprag...you agree with me ALL the time...you just don't know how to express your love....
dmw...libs are usually the rational beasts that are futuristic in their thinking of our country and our environment..it is the neo cons that don't care if we pillage the countryside for future generations...a knee jerk lib is an anomaly.

Blatantly true, Piggie, I agree with you on that count. And I am a flaming "libbie" full of biased responses (we "libbies", like redheads and the term Firecrotch, have reclaimed the term and are now proud and strong!). But a capitalistic economic system (and the psychology a capitalistic economic system breeds) requires growth. If you're not growing, you're dying, or at least those are investors' thoughts, and investors are the ones behind the advertisements that are the money behind the mag. So yes, they should not include renewal cards in issues going out to subscribers, it's dumb. And yes, they should change the whole renewal system to be paperless (and, gradually, they probably will, but so will the magazine be electronic) but until then why get all angsty? Just throw it in the recycling bin.
Spragwa, it makes me happy that with the nonprofit you help run, donors can decline the schwag and the RRGCC can keep the money. That's changing the system from within, durnit.

I don't know much, but I know that.
alex...piggie is full of angst. I actually wasn't even complaining because of the environmental impact. I was complaining because in my fragile state, it takes alot of energy to stoop over and pick these up off the floor...and with short finger nails, have you ever tried to actually get underneath one of these?
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
