RRGCC Keeps Moving

Post by Spragwa »

Hey all. First, thanks to everyone who contributed money, time and/or effort to making the community's July payment for the PMRP. YAY!

FYI, we are pushing our efforts to find outside funding. Benchmark in cincinnati put us in for a grant from Patagonia and we received $600. Petzl International has nominated us for a grant from the conservation alliance. Diane Loeffler is putting together our application. Finally, the Petzl foundation gives out thousands of dollars each year and John Evans, marketing director for Petzl North America, has been working with us to submit a grant from the Petzl Foundation.

Just to let y'all know what we're up to. Oh and Roctrip is going to kick major bootie. We'll have an agenda in the next week or so. YAY!

Thanks everyone. Our community is the best ever!

Oddly enough Saturn (division of GM) is sponsoring and contributing money towards a new marketing program and sporting events. They have a website called www.findyourdetour.com. Not sure if they will throw money this way, but maybe help sponsor events....who knows. You might want to also look into Jeep. I know they sponsor a lot of events around the area.

hope this helps

A whole portion of their site is dedicated to rock climbing, with Lynn Hill featured on there. http://www.findyourdetour.com./activity ... 4-000.html Good call, gus - that sounds like it's worth looking into.
