With such a wet season I guess they are on the move right now! My snake at home has been pretty active as well. (No I am not talking about BBerlier either!)
Snakes are AWESOME...someone said they saw 'rattlesnakes" at the Red. That would be pretty rare...cool
The snakes live where we don't, so give their space....most will only bite when cornered and suprised! This is great weather for them...the rain flushes out all their food!
I don't think rattlesnakes are that rare in the red. I have seen one and have heard of several people seeing them.

Tell me what they looked like....I would LOVE to see a rattlesnake!!! I have only ever seem copperheads and black rat snakes at the red...I've been climbing there for about 8 years
I can vouch for rhino on this one. Nothing sucks like bushwacking and seeing a very pissed off rattlesnake about 10 feet from you, then thinking to yourself, "Man, I've been hearing that sound all day."
I've only been climbing 2 years, maybe I just got lucky. Todd and I were lost.
They look like freaking snakes, what do you think they look like.
I think we have tiber rattlesnakes in the red, try a search engine.

Wow dude don't get defensive, I'm just a snake enthusiast and have read and heard that timber rattlesnakes are rare in KY...I think it is great if that is what you have seen!!
