Trad Climbing

Post by n_pertuset »

I live fairly close to the Red, and have been sport climbing for a little while. I'm very interested in getting into trad climbing, but don't know very many people that do it. I was wondering if anyone had some spare time, or was looking for someone to climb with (or allowed me to follow around :D), I'd love to go out and learn some stuff (trad). Feel free to PM me. Thanks.

There are no trad routes at the Red. Everything was bolted this Winter.

Too bad. I hear there was really fun movement from the jugs to the big slopers to that two-finger undercling pocket.

Yep. Somebody ripped the bottom of the pocket and now it's just a gaping hole.

I don't mind taking newbies out climbing but I won't be climbing fora while. The last couple guys that went seemed to be well versed in what to do and not to do.I was impressed. A guide is worth the money if you truley don't know what you are doing.
