I could do some fishing around for Southland. Tell me what, when, and how and I'll do my best.

Also, what does M and A need in the way of kitchen needs? I found a restaraunt supplier in Frankfort and would like to talk to them. Problem is I don't know what they need.

as to southland, yah they might do it, if the right person were asked, dustin pugel(cephus, but he is hardly ever on) would know who, he worked there all through high school and most of college and knows the helping through him guys. why don't you go donstairs and ask scott
hey, if you yell to your belayer saying "why charles III, you are quite possibly the worst belayer ever" will he throw his tea on you?

Okay folks, thanks to Yasmeen, we have a way for you to share your contact and other information so we can best utilize everyone's time and skills once the project to rebuild RRO is underway. Please enter your information here:

http://www.redriverclimbing.com/rro/rro.php

Please also try to hang onto your enthusiasm as there is a lot of preliminary work to be done before we can put you to work.

If you have already emailed your info , it is being put into the db by the lovely Josephine, so you don't need to enter it yourself.

Thank you, Yasi and Josie!

Talked to dustin:

he said to call Charlie Easterly ( not sure on the spelling exactly but pronounced like the holiday + ly) who works with Helping Through Him 859 224 1600. Apparently they give away things like washers, dyers, fridges, dish washers, clothes and even cars to anybody that needs help getting back on their feet. Not sure if they'd have a truck capable of what Matt needs but worth checking out. Dustin said that we would need to have someone pick the stuff up from southland ( its located in the back of the property?) and drive it down there.

Would someone who knows a little more about the specific needs of Matt and Amy and the rebuilding effort like to contact Charlie (probably mention you got his name /ministry from Dustin Pugel) , or should I give them a call. I would just need some info on what exactly they could use, and someone with a truck to drive the stuff down.

hope this is helpful,
Scott

Scott,

That sounds fabulous, but can you hold off for a while? Matt & Amy don't have anywhere to put anything. They have everything they need for right now, and are incredibly grateful for everyone's help, but we all need to be patient.

Thanks!

omg gosh if all you need is a place to store it for now I can store it in my parents outside garage....we've got room for a washer and dryer and fridge for sure....

but that means someone has to get a truck to get it from Winchester to the Red when Matt and Amy need it....

The new RRO

Beside charred frames sit Matt and Ames
Their little home in the Gorge -- forever gone.
In a blinding flash, it was all turned to ash…
But wait, we see a new dawn!

If we could build it of -- a truckload of love
By your ‘family’ here all around,
Without a delay, it’d be up in a day,
Rising fast from ash-blackened ground.

We eagerly await that future date
When your doors again open wide.
And welcoming the crowd, you now stand proud
Where once we all sat there and cried.

From your gleaming new kitchen, we’re all really itchin’
For your creations we’ve loved to devour
Created in style and served with a smile
Breakfasts that give climbers our power.

Matt and Ames are the owners’ names
Nice folks, here in our ‘hood.
How can these guys with chalk in their eyes
Cook breakfasts that taste so good.

S.B.
Fetch up a rock and throw it
At this poor excuse for a poet.

Thanks everyone !! As I said before to say the last few weeks have been overwhelming is an understatement. Sarahs poem was hanging on our shop and I stopped and read it yesterday. It brought a fresh tear to my eye, this time not for the things we lost but for the friends we have. I never knew we were so blessed. I cant begin to list the people that need thanked so I wont even try. Each of you will always hold a special place in our hearts. To those we have not contacted back or to those we have not said thanks to or to those we have not said thanks enough to, THANKS AND WE LOVE YA !! The rebuilding process is a little delayed but it will happen. We will keep people posted as new things develop and we look forward to seeing you all sweat ! If you need to contact us call the cell phone, our internet access is limited.

I have a perfectly good refigerator I can deliver whenever you need it. It's from a remodeling job and it was just too big for the space.
