Time to pull together for Red River Outdoors
Come-on folks, think of all those hungover mornings that Matt and Amy have cured with there Chai Tea, omlets or waffle sandwhiches. root through your westi, or camper shell on that 85' tacoma and help anyway you can. dig out the change from your 1970's olive green couch you are about to sleep on, you know the one...and just a little side note, tell your friends, enemies, anyone you can think of! The more people who think it is cool to donate, the more people will donate! You are that cool person, your friends think so and so do I! So anti-up try and remeber the password for your Pay-Pal account, the same one you bought your first harness and rope with from ebay. Lets really cometogether on this one! Peace, Love and donations for RRO!
Can someone please post Amy, Matt & JR's sizes - shirts/pants & shoes
was thinking about household donations. Is there someone already organizing this aspect? I can see Amy getting 12 sets of pots and pans, but not getting any silverware - or some such oddity. Perhaps it would be good to post what non-clothing thing you are donating. That way, if I know someone has the dishes covered, i can focus on the towels or sheets or something else. Maybe Amy & Matt could register at a walmart/target/meijer type place, i'm sure we would all love to get you something that you would like.
Also - were they insured? If so, does the insurance specify how the building must be re-constructed? I don't know anything about the rules/regs for that.
I love the idea to do a habitat-type rebuild, but do they own the building or does someone else? if the building is owned by another, are they supportive of that type of effort?
For those that are close friends of Amy & Matt's - do you have pictures you could print and make a nice album of? Especially wedding pics or major event pics - If you have them.
At this point, it seems like monetary donations would be the most helpful since they're the most flexible. I love the paypal link on the front page - Snowpuppy - that'd be a great way to give.
I thought about calling up gear companies to solicit donations, but I hear that is already in the works.
I guess that's all i can think of for now. such a sad thing to have happen...
