sport 10b is about equal to old school 8+ trad. so maybe the beenling is still soft :)

the beenling kicked my ass harder than a few hard 10's easy 11's around the area have. would like to get back out there and see if it was a high gravity day

Hasn't the Beeneling always been 9+? If you ask me, WLOTB is more of a sandbag at 10c And anyone who climbs trad in the red (and many places) know that 8+ or 9+ can mean anything up to, and including 10d. I need get back there sometime, but I think it is kinda shady, so maybe more of a summer route...

who climbs 5.9 or 5.10 anymore..that is so pre sport climbing...all brahs warm up on 12a and project higher on up....don't waste air space talking about non climbs.

(and yasmeen, if you even THINK about scrolling thru my mega spray list to show my hypocrisy, I will remind you that was in my gumby days of climbing, like back in January of 2007.)

Stones of Years, 1984 RRG guidebook, (in the climbing museum) has it as 5.9+.

It was upgraded because Tom Souders told me it was 5.10b and anyone who has climbed it will verify that. As Wes said, it's old hat on this board.

Got to have standards. Old School definitive 5.9+. Refer to 1984 Stones of Years (like Artsey said).
