Since the beginning of March, I've been plagued with posterior tibial tendonitis - first just in one foot, now in both feet. My ankles and arches are swollen and inflexible. Some days I can barely walk. I have no idea what's causing it or why it's not getting better - I wear "sensible shoes" with good arch support and toe space, I haven't done anything more stressful than occassional half-mile or mile walks, I've been icing and taking anti-inflammatories and doing mild stretching (including writing the alphabet with my feet).
Does anyone have any experience with this? Know any good PT exercises for it?
Post-tibial tendonitis
I thought with this condition that you would need a special shoe insert that has a harder sole to decrease inflammation. Since it's this severe, maybe you should see a doc.
