That was AWESOME!! "cull the n00bs" I love it.
I have a suggestion. How about we start a ban on any new route development at a grade easier than 5.11c for the rest of 2007. If you don't bolt it then they won't come.
Muir Valley Concerns
The Webers should require yard work or other projects on the property before anyone can get a pass to climb. They would end up having the most beatiful home and preserve in Kentucky and it would cut down on crowds and unruly people. I also think you should have to pay to play in PMRP until it's paid for. I personally seek out the long approaches to avoid crowds. The more difficult the approach the fewer the people and the ones that are there are nice to be around even their dogs.
Just cus I thought it was funny doesn't mean I support being hateful to N00bs. Yes I was once a major n00b and I have funny pictures to remind me of it. I am hoping to return to some of my n00b roots this year and go back to climbing 5.6's at Seneca. Now if I can only find a non-n00b partner to join me at Seneca.
Wes brought up the best point of all this. It's all about too many people and there is no solution to that problem.

When I was a n00b we functioned in awe, fear and respect of those that came before us. Nobody held your hand.
I dare say it wasn't so gumby as it is these days and it really wouldn't be useful to start killing all the "wheybakindaday" climbers would it? Who would put up routes, clean cracks, build trails, and bring the beers to the crag?
