Howdy,
So, thanks again to everyone who gave suggestions regarding holds and tips for building my home wall. Now that everything is set up I have a fair amount of climbing space and a ton of holds (thanks Cromlech) I thought I would open it up to everyone. See, the problem is that I don't know the first thing about problems. Everything I set is either too easy or poorly thought out, or impossible.
What I would like to do is open up my home to any Cincy folks (or anyone for that matter) to come and set bouldering problems. For each problem you set I'll donate 10 bucks in your name to the RRGCC. I'll cap it at $150.00. Anyone that wants to match the contribution with $10.00 of their own is of course welcome to.
I'm thinking two Wednesdays, April 4th and 11th, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. I'll supply some snacks, water, chalk, music (you can bring some too). Any takers? PM me if so and I'll get it set up.
Here are some pics of the wall...

PMRP Fundraiser
Brad, I will be there, I can't set problems, but I still have some good holds to donate and some $$$ for PMRP. Send me a mapquest link if possible. We were at Eden Sunday, it was great, hit me up and well get Kirker and do some climbing there or at my secret wall.

i can be there for one, maybe two wednesdays.. what level of problems are you looking for?
i can't match the donation right now.. but are there any takers to match brad's donation, sort of a sponsor program? think of it this way: you'd be helping to triple brad's donation. remember, there's a donor out there that's going to be matching donations for the next few months already. so you could help make $150 be $450.
thanks brad!

Ha, I would never let paul3eb set problems for me - I like my finger tendons attached! He *always* sets at least (one) two-finger pocket nightmare of a problem at the gym.
But, other then that, you are lucky to get him to come up. I need to get to cinci next week anyway, so maybe I will see if I can work it out. I am the designated "warm up" problem setter right now...

if paul'll let me carpool with him i'd be glad to set the warm ups on one of those wednesdays.
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I mostly wanted to see what others will put up. It's my understanding that most people set problems to their strengths so the more the merrier.Corporate Whore wrote:i can be there for one, maybe two wednesdays.. what level of problems are you looking for?

If you end up coming to Cincy please do stop by. I think your "warm up" would probably kick my ass anyway.Wes wrote:But, other then that, you are lucky to get him to come up. I'm not really sure what the answer is to the "difficulty" question. I guess V0 to V5? I have a good amount of cool pockets and slopers and some roof holds. I'm mostly excited to learn from you guys and have some good fun climbing in the process.itmeansgod wrote:i'd be happy to set you some problems. what difficulty range are you looking for?
I'll bump the thread back up over the weekend to remind folks that it's available. If you can make it I think it will be a good time.
