nobody else has felt changes in their lower back/core muscle groups from running?

I think it is beneficial, Cliff Heindel, but apparently I am wrong.... not that I am going to stop because of it!

Almost definitely. However, there are a thousand more direct ways to train core.

if any one still cares about hills, asbury college in wilmore has one of the harder 5k courses in the state, bout 20 min from lex, or you can just run up and down the pallisades (not the cliffs naturally). Raven Run has some great hills if not already mentioned. Auxier Ridge/Double Arch loop is a spectacular run and work-out as well.
hey, if you yell to your belayer saying "why charles III, you are quite possibly the worst belayer ever" will he throw his tea on you?
