Yawn ... this argument again? By the way, did I say running will make me stronger for climbing? Noooo ... It will keep me in shape. HUGE difference and it's better than doing nothing when a gym is 1.5 hours away.

Cardio at the Red? For what?
sustained and repetitive, sub maximal upper extremity muscle contractions with a sustained heart rate in an aerobic range. Sounds like every 5.11 and 5.12 I have done in the Red.

man, that was only for three months.. I made it 9 weeks, and got the shakes and came back strong.

and didn't lose a single pound of fat..guess my mt. dew intake made up for it.

You must be crazy. Climbing in the Red is only aerobic if you hold your breath, which you could probably do for the length of most routes....
