technology... like commercial rather than family farms- the family farm had cattle that consumed the excess crops and hay that was grown through normal rotation- the cattle produce fertilizer that benefit the crops, a self supporting system- the commercial farms separate the livestock and crops and in so doing take one solution and create two problems- people talking on cell phones and not paying attention to their driving can kiss my ass if this is you then you can kiss my ass and then I hope you die

Let me go ahead and guess that you've got 3 kids and a bun in the oven. ;-)
It doesn't necessarily mean a steady increase. It means they're reproducing but not says nothing about the rate.

And actually, I've got no kids (all "that I know of" jokes aside) and no wife, it seems seven years of school for each of us is kinda getting in the way.

On another note, everybody seems to jump to conclusions that it's us causing population growth. The native-born population of the US is decreasing just as it is in most Western nations. The only reason we're still growing is immigration.

Letter (B) until it breaks down.

The media is worse at dumbing the nation down and causing stress than technology.

Where is it going to go? With so many distractions it seems like there is less time to be good at something.

my teenage son gotta a little verbal cussy like one night and yea I could have broke his nose but then that puts me in jail with a fine, so I thought about it for 1.5 seconds and decided to terminate the cable TV and high speed inter-net- I now hit the library more often and have rediscovered my joy of reading, he's hating it cause he is a big time gamer ha ha

 Nice, Crank. Cancelling the high speed Internet might be one of the few ways my parents could make my brother cry.

he is 17 I figured if he is bad ass enough to cuss me he is bad ass enough to get off his ass and get a job and pay for that stuff himself- I do regret that my wife and I are also in a way being punished but I'll use the extra $ each month to finance some bouldering trips

Remember the days when having your own phone line or t.v. in your room was a luxury and not a right?! Man, I didn't have anything like that growing up - just a bed, a dresser, and a stereo - All of this technical stuff is overwhelming, though some definitely have helped make things easier.

But do we really need a cell phone that will take play music, take videos, surf the net, tell us we're lazy, scratch our backs and make us dinner each night? geez
The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own.
You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president.
You realize that you control your own destiny.
