Yeah, I thought so. even with the TR chimney lead.
Storm and Sorrow and maybe K2 were at least watchable, but Vertical Limit and that Stalone one are stupid bad.

I think so too! There was one climbing technique I didn't much care for, but the movie was still great. Dripping in irony at the end.

The book was good, too. I would recommend Trevanian's Shibumi. It's light and fast and fun, with some pretty good shots at the status quo. Trevanian died here recently.

Catch a Fire wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. They didn't really endear me to any of the characters, so in the end, I appreciated the history lesson, but wasn't very into the movie.

The Crow 2, The Village, anything with Kevin Costner (monotone man "I am very frightened about the buffalo" with no emotion in the voice whatsoever - Dances with Wolves). Anything with Steven Segal. . .

Dude, I couldn't agree more.. the no feet traverse, lunging peice placements... totally believable.
The path to our destination is not always a straight one. We go down the wrong road, we get lost, we turn back. Maybe it doesn't matter which road we embark on. Maybe what matters is that we embark.

The Descent is probably one of the best horror movies I've seen in a few years.
