Don't unnecessary respect those that are older then you.
They are just older versions of your dumb friends.

One second of one minute
Of every hour in one day
For the rest of your life
The question
If....
If it all ends
Now
What would it matter
If any at all
What might happen
In a moment
Moments gone
So....
Am I
If so
So what
Did it upset you
Or do you even care
For another
That might not
Worried
Why bother
It doesn't matter
Even in
One second
Of one minute
Of every hour
In one day
For the resy of your life.

Holy shit why can't i sleep?
I've counted all nine hundred and six thousand sheep
The room is dark everythings quiet
That thing called sleepI'd sure like to try it
Lying here staring at all of it peeling
The inside of my eyelids the outside of my ceiling
All the while the tick of my digital clock pounds
Keeping me awake like so many grounds
What did i do to deserve this curse
The foulest of punishments from satan's purse
Wide awake at the crack of dawn
Wide awake at the.....YAWN
Wide awake out on the lawn
Here comes the paper boy with the morning news
That i already saw while i no snooze
One of these nights i'll get some rest
Until that day comes i'll try my best
To not fall asleep while ...................................................................

Albert Einstein wrote: A human being is part of a whole, called by us the `Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if mankind is to survive.

The Once-ler
The Once-ler
not to be misunderstood as feelings of regret, either. rather, more like the sentiments of eternal recurrence..in birches, robert frost wrote:When I see birches bend to left and right
Across the lines of straighter darker trees,
I like to think some boy's been swinging them.
But swinging doesn't bend them down to stay.
Ice-storms do that. Often you must have seen them
Loaded with ice a sunny winter morning
After a rain. They click upon themselves
As the breeze rises, and turn many-coloured
As the stir cracks and crazes their enamel.
Soon the sun's warmth makes them shed crystal shells
Shattering and avalanching on the snow-crust
Such heaps of broken glass to sweep away
You'd think the inner dome of heaven had fallen.
They are dragged to the withered bracken by the load,
And they seem not to break; though once they are bowed
So low for long, they never right themselves:
You may see their trunks arching in the woods
Years afterwards, trailing their leaves on the ground,
Like girls on hands and knees that throw their hair
Before them over their heads to dry in the sun.
But I was going to say when Truth broke in
With all her matter-of-fact about the ice-storm,
I should prefer to have some boy bend them
As he went out and in to fetch the cows--
Some boy too far from town to learn baseball,
Whose only play was what he found himself,
Summer or winter, and could play alone.
One by one he subdued his father's trees
By riding them down over and over again
Until he took the stiffness out of them,
And not one but hung limp, not one was left
For him to conquer. He learned all there was
To learn about not launching out too soon
And so not carrying the tree away
Clear to the ground. He always kept his poise
To the top branches, climbing carefully
With the same pains you use to fill a cup
Up to the brim, and even above the brim.
Then he flung outward, feet first, with a swish,
Kicking his way down through the air to the ground.
So was I once myself a swinger of birches.
And so I dream of going back to be.
It's when I'm weary of considerations,
And life is too much like a pathless wood
Where your face burns and tickles with the cobwebs
Broken across it, and one eye is weeping
From a twig's having lashed across it open.
I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate wilfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth's the right place for love:
I don't know where it's likely to go better.
I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree
And climb black branches up a snow-white trunk
Toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,
But dipped its top and set me down again.
That would be good both going and coming back.
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.

P-Groove in No Decorations wrote:Opened my eyes to look
And see all the hardwood floors were bare
Things that had such charm
Now have no decorations there
Far in the distance now
is often where I stare
One can only hope
good for all of us is there
All this is just meant to say
Here you have a friendly ear, if you need one
Just a mere lament your way
If that which was bright in your life seems to have dimmed some
Maybe on one fine day
If you feel afraid that your fears soon will be gone
There's not much that's left to say
Said it all before, but it always turned out wrong

not exactly literature but still incredible:
steve prefontaine wrote:"Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, 'I've never seen anyone run like that before.' It's more than just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better than anyone else. It's being creative."
"A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more. Nobody is going to win a 5,000 meter race after running an easy 2 miles. Not with me. If I lose forcing the pace all the way, well, at least I can live with myself."
"I don't just go out there and run. I like to give people watching something exciting."
"Something inside of me just said 'Hey, wait a minute, I want to beat him,' and I just took off."
"What I want is to be number one."
"Somebody may beat me, but they are going to have to bleed to do it."
"I'm going to work so that it's a pure guts race at the end, and if it is, I am the only one who can win it."
"A race is a work of art that people can look at and be affected in as many ways they’re capable of understanding."
"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement."
"How does a kid from Coos Bay, with one leg longer than the other win races? All my life people have been telling me, 'You're too small Pre', 'You're not fast enough Pre', 'Give up your foolish dream Steve'. But they forgot something, I HAVE TO WIN."
"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the Gift."

Sometimes I feel
Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
The city of angel
Lonely as I am
Together we cry
I drive on her streets
cause shes my companion
I walk through her hills
cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds
And she kisses me windy
I never worry
Now that is a lie
I dont ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Its hard to believe
That theres nobody out there
Its hard to believe
That Im all alone
At least I have her love
The city she loves me
Lonely as I am
Together we cry
I dont ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Under the bridge downtown
Is where I drew some blood
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough
Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away
