The stock market is always going to be hitting "all-time" highs. Just like the value of the dollar is continually hitting all-time lows. Where are our pensions? Job security?

The unemployment numbers have been gamed for the entire Shrub "Presidency." If you're unemployed for 6 months you're removed from the roles. If you're re-employed at $20G/yr after making $100G/yr you're "employed" despite the change in income. Under the Republican Oligarchy the mean American income has dropped, the number of working poor has increased, and the nation's wealth has been further consolidated in the hands of a fraction of a percent of the population.

Oil prices are plummeting.

As if Bush's actions (other than global warming giving us a mild winter) have had anything to do with the price of oil.

Taxes for whom? Most of us have seen little or no change. Once again this change is experienced most by the richest of us. Also, most of our gov't expenses have been shifted to fees which are a heavier burden on the poor than on the wealthy.

And our debt? Why is it the largest in history?

The Federal deficit is down almost 50%, just as
predicted over last year.

Again, smoke and mirrors and playing with the numbers. We're in a very deep hole and if left up to the wildly spending fatcat Republicans we'd dig that hole deeper by the minute, that is if we could've actually gotten the lazy bastards to do any work...

How old is this? The housing bubble has burst in most places and prices are plummetting. Will the Republicans take credit for that?

There's so much stupid about this paragraph I don't know where to start. We've created the greatest terrorist training ground in world history in Iraq. If we'd fought them where they were instead of started a war somewhere else where they can come and go, test techniques, learn our defenses that would've made sense. Destroying an entire country without good reason is not an excuse to make up some bullshit about them following us home like some kind of diseased puppies. The ball is law enforcement and detective work, not major wars in the wrong places. We've taken our eye off the ball.

Now let me see, do I have this right? I can expect:

The economy to go South

Illegals to go North

Taxes to go Up

Employment to go Down

Terrorism to come In

Tax breaks to go Out

Social Security to go Away

Health Care to go the same way gas prices have gone

The fact is that for most Americans the economy went south under Republicans, immigration has remained the same (does the term "lip service" mean anything to you?), taxes have increased for the poor, quality of employment has decreased, the worst terrorist attack on American soil occurred under the Republican's watch, the tax breaks were almost exclusively for the wealthiest who owe more to this country than anyone else but now have less of the burden than the poor who have gained the least, Republicans have been trying to kill Social Security since its inception so I don't know what the fuck that line's doing in your list, and health care has skyrocketed under the Republicans so you like that? So what the fuck are you talking about?

They never should've been put there in the first place. Their lives are being ruined, wasted, lost, destroyed, maimed, etc. for

a) the misplaced pride of a stupid little man.
b) oil.

Whether you and I agree on anything else doesnt matter, but the troops are there re-guardless if you like it, support it, or accept it. I based my post on the fact that they are there, and need more equipment, weapons, ammo, new technology, more troops, more beans, bullets, and bandaids to continue to survive until the Guvment figures out whats next. I cannot tell you what it means to be in harms way, and not have the stuff necessary to your very own survival. When I got to the Storm, we were issued a new rifle, pistol, and machine gun that we had no training on, we were then told not to use any ammo we brought in the new guns, no new ammo in the old guns and that we would get 15-20 minutes of remedial training to become proficient in the use of these new wonder weapons we had never even seen. I was stationed in Germany when we went to war, Germany had Vietnam era weapons and vehicles to go to war with. The troops didnt ask to go there, but while there they should have whats necessary to survive, no matter the cost. You can be pissed at all the reasons we shouldnt be there, but it doesnt change a damn thing.........
