Top Out

Post by Alan Evil »

What routes allow you to top out? Which ones do you have to climb past the anchors to top out? I have this urge to stand on top after climbing instead of hanging from the anchors and looking around.

Sco and I climbed a route to the right of C-Sharp B flat, actually its to the right of the 10B thats riight of C Sharp @ Roadside and we topped it out. There are no anchors but there are plenty of healthy trees. It was one of th ebest views I have seen in the gorge! Its starts as a finger crack and then goes into an oddwidthy crack. I thought it was decent climbing, well worth the view.
Who Me? I gotta hitch hike god damn 18 miles to get a god damn beer......that's bullshit.

Hair of the Dog at Wall of Denial = best top out in the red. Soft at 10a, so doable for any 5.9 leader.

yeah man, the 2nd pitch was not classic by any means but it wasnt terrible. the variation looks cool. lots of thorns on the normal ending, ames was not happy with me that day. i think she quit eclimbign with me for about 2 weeks after that trip.
