War Profiteering
You don't quote anyone. You spout this lame paraphrase of Republican talking points. You live in a world that finds reality suspect when (as it always does) it refuses to conform to your expectations. Well, reality isn't going away but one can hope that the neo-cons will soon find themselves as rare and embarrassing as Nazis. Same people, different coats. I wonder what they'll call themselves next time around...Lokl wrote:and you expect anyone to even bother reading that/ or even listening to you?Alan Evil wrote:
No. I have other words for people like you. Much worse than any I've used so far in this diatribe.
way to try and have a responsible conversation with a lurker. ASSHAT!
and read again. when did I ever quote Limbaugh, Ollie North, Fox News or any of it.
Go try and stick a flower in an AK-47.

just so you understand. the only final decsion that I'm working towards is the elimination of all the FUCKTARDS such as yourself from the world. that would be where the similarity between my jewish republican self and rude, insensitive, ASSHAT calling me a Nazi ends.Alan Evil wrote:

Oh, poor baby got his wittle feelings hurt? Why don't you answer one of the many statements I've made? Oh! I know! It's because you CAN'T.Lokl wrote:just so you understand. the only final decsion that I'm working towards is the elimination of all the FUCKTARDS such as yourself from the world. that would be where the similarity between my jewish republican self and rude, insensitive, ASSHAT calling me a Nazi ends.Alan Evil wrote:

Being Jewish does not preclude one from being a fascist. It also does not preclude one from being a Nazi sympathizer. I guess the actual Nazis might have a problem with your Jewishness but they'd make your life a little easier as you turned in your neighbors. We could go off on the similarities between what's going on in Palestine and the ghettoization of the Jews in Germany but that's a whole different thread of loathing and crimes against humanity.
Would one of you neo-conservatives please give me a concrete example of when privatization has improved services?!? That's why this thread started. As usual since all you people know is the bullying, lying, slandering right wing media when you are asked to answer a question you cannot you impune the questioner. You can't defend your stance so you attack me.
Fine. At least I don't defend politicians on "my" side when they go against everything they claim to represent.
You people still defend your Republican icons as they bleed us taxpayers dry on pet projects and run up the most staggering debt that the world has ever seen with no end in sight. All of this to benefit the wealthiest 1% of Americans while convincing you drooling Limbaugh fans that you are one of the people being benefitted. There is NOTHING conservative about what the Congress and President have done over the last 6 years but you people still believe it is. They keep towing you along by your self-righteous fundamentalist values about which there really is nothing to be done while stealing the wealth of you, your children, and several generations of yet-to-be-born and giving it by the truckload to people with wealth beyond anything you will ever see.
Again, you won't argue the facts because you can't. Call me prick again if it makes you feel better but in the end you're still wrong.

It's called the English language, dimwit. You should consider learning it so you can understand what people say to you. "...it's like..." and "somehow" both add up to a very strong version of "as if." "It is as if a hurricane were steered into New Orleans," is a paraphrase of what gulliver wrote quite clearly in the first place. This is the problem with arguing with people like you, you can't read or write or think of more than one thing at a time so you get overloaded and try to turn someone's words against them by mis-hearing them or taking them out of context. If only you could read, Johnny. Maybe then you'd understand the meaning of "same people, different coats."Lokl wrote:let me understand this right. You honestly believe that katrina was "somehow purposefully steered" into NOLA?gulliver wrote: ...To me it's like pointing to a new and better levy and updated stuff in New Orleans after somehow purposefully steering a hurricane in to demolish the place....
why do I ever bother to have discussions with climbers that exsist beyond:
"that's a cool line right?"
" George Bush is an asshole!"
"yeah I thought it was a cool line too."

why hasn't anyone in govt left or right even spoken about the need to generate interest in alternative fuel sources- Ky can produce butt loads of Hemp and the midwest can produce butt loads of those grasses that need little to no supports like bogus fertilizers- we need leadership in this country, it was Bush's line that Clinton's presidency was a lost opportunity by what appeared to be an intelligent fellow, guess what now we have witnessed lost opportunity by a less apparently gifted fellow but lost remains the situation- when the atomic bomb was considered important the country came up with the Manhattan project and got-r-done why can't someone other than me propose the same commitment to America's energy ... ie security needs by leading the way to the energy sources and involving (perhaps) American auto makers we could salvage their decline as well
The same reason we can't get anything done in Gov-ment, the left plays left and the right....right! This will always boil down to the have and have nots, the middle class will always bear the burden of making the rich richer, and the poor, well you know. We cant agree on anything that will help the country, reguardless of what we believe. A third party is long overdue, all of us who dwell in the gray between right and left have known this forever. I'm personnaly sick of all of it, we as a people should be sick to death of the same old same old.... I don't know what the answer is, but its not in the left or right, anyone who thinks Utopia is in the hands of the Dems/Libs in the next election is as blind as the Rep/Cons, that are in there now. Alan stated same people different coats, how true, the Dems/Libs will do no better, different tyrants with different tryanny. This will be the way until WW3 or the next big internal strife that becomes an us against them type of problem, then and only then will we get anything done, this has always been the way of America, we react, better than we act, we will always rebuild, but why cant we prepare first????? I dont have the answers, but I'm not afraid to ask the questions.......Crankmas wrote:why hasn't anyone in govt left or right even spoken about the need to generate interest in alternative fuel sources-

There's this weird imbalance in the gov't these days where increasing your budget is more important than doing the job right. Cops should as a group stand up and refuse to inforce marijuana laws. If people could grow the shit themselves the profit would VANISH for selling it and any (if there is any other than growing it) crime related to pot would vanish. Same with crack. I say if people want to smoke that shit GIVE IT TO THEM. That way they won't break my car window for my stereo speakers. Or anybody's window. Let them sit in a corner and smoke that shit until they die if they want to. When they want help, give it to them for free. It would, in the long run, be cheaper than all the murders, prisons, cops, etc. that are now engaged by crack or meth or whatever the new bugaboo is. Give it to them. Create some nice big rehab buildings all over the country for when they want to clean up and don't limit the treatments. Give them oral cocaine or oral meth while you wean them off the shit. You can't do that now...
But yeah, hemp is a great crop. My grandpa was a farmer, the real kind that plowed the garden with a horse and had a complete working farm. He never smoked a cigarette, drank a drink, or lost money in a trade and it made him furious that pot was illegal to grow. He didn't care what people did with it. He just knew it was a good crop (raised acres of it during WWII) and that people could sell it and pay the note on their farm with it. Well, he probably knew a lot more than that about it but that was all that was important. If they'd just give up and let people smoke the stuff we'd have an excellent crop available to farmers who would only profit for selling it for it's commercial properties (fiber, seed oil, etc.) since anybody with a sunny spot could grow it themselves.
