its way past that, they changed camping areas, enforce dog rules now and my money would be on heavier restrictions as the area gets more and more crowded. we have been going since 99 and have saw the area change drastically.
dogs and stupid bi-peds will be the death of public climbing areas.

This past weekend Mike (the owner) blessed our campfire with about 2 straight hours of stories. He came over to deliver firewood. According to Gina (his wife), who we heard over his radio, he was way behind on his deliveries. He didn't seem too worried.
After his stories about various topics such as: local indians, history, wildlife, soil, charity; I was real glad to know that there are still people like him around. He is a wealth of knowledge about so many aspects of the local area. He also gives a lot back to the community. He manages horse pens in a way that preserves the environment, supports his family, and is a major fund raiser for local charities (i.e. local fire departments and a children's hospital).
I encourage anyone who goes down to HP40 to seize an opportunity to get to know him, to respect his property, and suggest not pissing him off (else you might find yourself a shady character in one of his stories).
