Colorado, Big Blue Wilderness, 6/22 -7/3

Post by jeffers_mz »

Leaving Indy late Sunday, 6/22, planning two 5 to 6 day out and backs from the Lake City area, working ridgelines around Cow Creek basin. Mostly knife edge ridges, some technical, rappelling and ascending likely, all above twelve to thirteen thousand feet, return Thursday or Friday 7/3-7/4.

Probably will split the two with a day in Lake City to clean up and restock, on or around 6/28.

Looking for partners for either or both legs, have room for one from Indy area, two in a pinch. The area is rugged, uninhabited, largely unexplored, and contains 8 to 10 faces from 1000' to 4500'.

Probably not till this fall. I'm teaching my kids to backpack, but my daughter's only three so we're taking it slow.

Why don't you and Bri let the VP's run B&G and swoop out in the company Lear for a couple weeks in the fresh air? I promise, no copperheads, no sweat, and no roadblocks. Try finding that in the Red in July.

Whaddya say?
