It makes me nervous. 26.2 miles...way too long.

I'll totally run the Derby mini with you in may...

Reospeed is doing a good thing here. She is raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by running this marathon in Florida. What is it called, Team in Training? Maybe you could get some donations from climbers who are also runners who care about others!

Dean is a crazy, but he had a heck of support crew to work out all those logistics. Somebody beat Dean to this feat already with less fanfare and support (ie didn't work at TNF). Can't remember the guys name. Anyway still a crazy feat no matter how you do it.

3 days till Arches! 32-34 miles of trail running fun...I can't hardly wait.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

That's a lot of mileage...

Its all mental. I just tell myself that I did 40 back in June so 30 should be a piece of cake! Ummmm yeah whatever ya gotta tell yourself Steve. But serriously that long distance running stuff is all mental. Its amazing what you can push your body to do if you set your mind to it. Not to say you can got out and do a long run with out putting in the miles. Of course I'm using the word run and race like I'm fast or something. For me trail runs are more of a combo of jogging and fast hiking so I can finish not win.

My buddy Eric just did the Mountain Masochist last weekend, its a 54 miler, and is going to do Arches this weekend. He's nuts. So when I'm down and out and the negative vibes are rolling through my mind like the ocean waves I try and to keep it all in perspective.

To me trail running isn't about a loss of brain cells, its about a beautiful scenery and a good playlist on your mp3 player.
Search this site or PM a guy named hefe. He and his wife did the Disney last winter. hefe did actually pulled off the Goofey (both the mini and the full).

Hey redpointron I'm saving myself for this one www.leadville.com/trail100/
