there are many trails around here you could run 18-22 miles, just depends on your physical shape. auxier is one of the best imo as well. rock bridge, grays arch, rough trail, shellatowe and many loops off those main trails can be combined. you can combine trails for as many miles as you would like. rock bridge to swift to rough and back may be a good one for you. i will look over the maps and see whats up and give ya some suggestions.

You could copy part of the Arches Run course. Google it.

Huh? The Gorge has some great trails to run, sure none that are that long but you can hook up most of the trails for a good run. http://people.moreheadstate.edu/fs/h.he ... ches4.html

The trails around Cave Run are pretty good, but I think I'd take hiker traffic to horse traffic any day. An early start helps to avoid many trailriders, don't think horse people know about alpine starts. http://people.moreheadstate.edu/fs/h.he ... tra11.html

If you want to run closer to Lexington you can do laps at Raven Run. Sounds funny, but the red trail out there is tough. I did 16 miles out there last Saturday and it was awesome...wet and wild! The leaves and limestone made it slick, the creeks were running pretty full, and the trail was good and muddy. Get out there early to avoid crowds.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

sorry. I saw from your other post you were new to the area. Here's their page, it has driving directions.
