Thank you for the report, Ray. This climb, "Fifty Bucks," aka "Triple Sec," is now temporarily closed until one of its developers returns to check it over and install a new bolted hanger or Fixe glue-in bolt in the missing location.

A reminder to visitors to MV: The release form you sign includes this clause:

"If I observe any unusual hazard during my visit to Muir Valley I agree to bring such hazard to the attention of Muir Valley, LLC immediately by contacting Rick Weber at rweber@accenttech.com or 317-291-0354"

It has been missing for probably 6 months. We always assumed it was part of the bolt inspections occurring in Muir....thought is has been "temporarily closed" this entire time.

There has been the following comment in the online guidebook about it since April:

Comments: Any guess on when this route will get fixed, Its just to pretty to sit there. I would be happy to help, but I live in NC.

I told rick I would do it in the spring. I just wanted to climb this year, and it is probably too cold to do (epoxy probably needs to cure above freezing, yet I could be wrong?)

down to 38 degrees you can use the epoxy. but if I am correct, does that bolt need a glue in, or just another expansion bolt?
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
