Mirage or Galunlati?

Post by SCIN »

I'm confused. I climbed a line at The Solarium today and now I don't know which line it was. It started in a dihedral but then branched out right onto the face. There was an obvious crux at around the second bolt which required grabbing two very tiny crimps and making a move up left to a little slot. From there it kind of shifted right a bit on not so bad holds but the holds got larger as you climbed higher. It was possible to get a semi-knee bar midway on a ledge. I'm not sure if it was Mirage or Galunlati. Thanks.

Sounds like "Galunlati". I remember those two very tiny crimps well... :D

Its Galunlati. How did you do? Thats a long pumpy route.
Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

Figures  I did it on TR to clean Jareds draws off of it when he put it up and it still kicked my butt.

nice. I wish I could get up one of those cool-kid climbs even with pulling on the draws. But for some reason my training program which consists of making french toast and hauling canoes around in my truck just isn't working. If only I could be like you, dear Ray.
Dude, just keep trying man. One day you'll get to be one of the cool kids.

Dude, just keep trying man. Though you may never reach cool kid status, maybe one day you will be worthy of carring my stick clip to the lode.
Tuesday or Wednesday?

Tuesday or Wednesday? No wait, I found out Dave Pegg is coming to town and if you do googles on the name Dave Pegg it comes up with some very cool Grit lines so in order to increase my cool-kid status points I think I'll climb with him instead of you, my dear lowly pee-on Ray.
Fine, dude. I see what a friend you are.

Fine, dude. I see now how to achieve true cool kid status: Glory by associaion. You don't actually have to climb all that well, just hang out with people that do, or at least that is what I have been trying to do.
No worries, Ray. You should come as well, and I can take some photos of you and Dave, shirtless. Then everyone will know that you are the stronger climber, plus you get some serious GBA points.
