That's pretty wacked Goodguy, i'm curious if that douche who attacked you realized he/she/it could purchase some quick links and chain him/her/itself? The thought likely never crossed douche's mind. Shame on you douchebag!!!!!!

goodguy wrote:So I just got attacked for not having chains on a route at the Solar Collector. I gotta say it feels as if people just want to bitch and moan rather than ask why or offer help. Maybe we should all stop for a couple of seasons and see if any help comes crawling out of the woodwork.
i got this feeling of deja vu...

Goodguy: you want anchors?

Other guy: i think i'm entitled to it.

Goodguy: you want anchors?

Other guy: i want the hilti.

Goodguy: You can’t handle the hilti. son, we live in a world that has cliff lines. and those cliff lines have faces that need to be cleaned and drilled by men with more time than sense. who’s gonna do it? you? redpoint ron, pigsteak? i have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. you weep for chain anchors and curse the men who can't equalize them. you have that luxury. you have the luxury of not knowing what i know: that hammering off some loose rock, while tragic, probably saved lives. and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, entertains people. because, deep down, in places you don’t talk about at miguels, you want me on that static line. you need me on that static line.

we use words like half inch, hole brush, blow tube…we use these words as the backbone to a life spent developing. you use ‘em as a punchline.

i have neither the time, nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and lowers under the blanket of the very anchors i provide, then questions the manner in which i provide them. i’d rather you just said, “thank youâ€

Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.
