Actually, we (the children) sat in the balcony with the blacks. The view was much better, and Grandpa could keep an eye on us from the projection booth. I remember feeling like Jem and Scout in the courtroom scene!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

It still is funny. Always will be. ANY word used the right way can be funny. Dave Chappelle makes that shit so funny I can't stand it....
That said, the attitude amongst most black guys I've talked to about it is that its become a generic word that isn't really offensive anymore, unless used in an offensive manner.... even when its being said by white people.
Its the attitude behind it, not the word itself.

and- in the zoos if there is a white animal (say a tiger) everybody acts like it's all special just because its a white tiger! And those cracker doves that magicians use! jus what the racist hell is up with that?
I love that Chris Rock HBO special where he does the "I hate niggers routine." At the end his black fans are coming up to him and saying, "I hate niggers, too" and then a white guy comes up and says it and gets jumped by the mob. Funny shit.
It doesn't bother me usually but there's a stupid cracker working at my gf's restaurant that will shout out, "YO! MAH NIGGAH!!!" at his boss while the place is open. It's a $40 entree place and that is like high school in the summer: No Class.

I used to feel that said word was simply an old bad word that didn't have any real meaning anymore. But now after having been in an interracial relationship for three years and actually experiencing the stedfastness of this word it does bother me to hear a bunch of honkies who think that since they went to college and they are educated to understand how offensive the word really is. I sometimes will forget this since it doesn't really affect me, but when it is obviously offensive to someone close it makes me realize how shitty it is.
