There were about 1,000 routes listed in Johnny's 2nd book (1998) & there are about 1,300 listed in Ray's (2005). The RRGCC's tally as of the end of 2005 was 1,392 open climbs(From RRGCC 2005 Annual Report now online at: http://www.rrgcc.org/annual_reports.php). I wouldn't doubt that we are approaching 200 more routes with the PMRP and Muir development this year plus a number of trad routes in the Gorge itself, either just done or previously unrecorded.
