i just wanted to thank everyone that showed up and helped out for the Will Climb For Jeremy Comp yesterday. I am so grateful that so many people have so much compasion for what we are doing. This was the first of many events that will go on, to help not only jeremy but many others down the road. Thank you all so much you are all awesome people.

the comp went down better than expected, a great time was had by all...
and the post-game festivities (at a remote location and not attended by all, unfortunately) were... uhm... memorable.

nice call, dana...

yeah, totals are actually up over $12,000 i believe, after credit card payments were figured in. it was amazing, and i definitely got a little misty-eyed at the comp (partly cause i get pissed when i climb crappy, but also because the event was so great and meaningful). there were some blown-up pictures of j there, and i just could not stop thinking about how awesome it was that he is still here with us when, at this time last year, it was questionnable whether he would survive (sorry j, i know i brought this up with you already, but i just had to say it again).
j's friendship means a lot to me, even more now because i am dating kenny and i need to stay on his good side  . above that, j is one of the most amzing, caring people i have known. most of you know this already, but the comp really showed how much people reach out to help those who have touched their lives. it was a perfect way not only to raise money, but to celebrate jeremy and his friendships.

Great event, guys! I'm so impressed with how much money was raised - I expected a lot, but $12,000+ is amazing. I hope we can do more events like this in the future - what an incredible accomplishment, and it was a blast!

dmw, yeah, Chris Sharma doesn't suck. My mom's pretty psyched about her autographed poster.
