Thinking of heading out to the Adirondacks in the next few weeks to hit the Diagonal. Does anybody have any beta on this climb? I don't have a guide book for the area yet, so I am looking for how easy or difficult the route finding was, what the climbing and protection on the 5.8 pitches were like, the descent(rappel or bushwhack?) and is the end of August a decent time to go as far as bugs and weather is concerned?
