Maybe it could be bought and turned into a dog park.

doesn't anyone understand what a tremendous loss this is!?! don't you people get it!?! ok, get this: no where else in the gorge, no where else, can you get seventy-five cent ice cream.. no where! just when i discover such an incredible hidden gem, they go and take it away.. sigh..

seriously, though, it won't be quite the same without torrent around. are you still planning on staying in the area? if not, i hope your time here has been good and that we haven't been too much an inconvience to you and yours.

ugh, I'm CRUSHED to read this news, Mark. I can't imagine the RRG without you and your family. What is next for you??

Thanks for offering Torrent up to us first. I wish I was in a position to buy! Good luck with the sale. I know that it must have been a terribly difficult decision, but I certainly hope something better is around the next corner. :D

Mark,
I hope you know how we feel about you and your family. You have been so good to the climbing community, even at times when we didnt deserve it. You have helped Amy and I out many times personally and in our business. Trying to thank you for that is beyond words. I wish you the best of luck with your new adventure and if you ever need anything please let us know.

whatever Mark (who i've not met) and family are moving onto it's gotta be pretty good if, my math being close, they're letting go of a 30% annual return on their investment.

I have a hard time believing that you can pay it off in three years. Why would someone get rid of a business that makes $300,000 anually after overhead and taxes. That is more than most physicians or indian chiefs. Plus your own crag. Sounds fishy. I would have to see the books before I believed this.
