Shortest, Easiest Approaches to Sport Crags

Post by rjackson »

Besides Torrent and Phantasia, what crags have the shortest and easiest approaches? Want to climb this weekend and need to bring the 16 year old who is on crutches (but very mobile).

Thanks.

Doesn't get any better than those as far a length of approach. But there are other crags with pretty flat approaches just longer.
Left flank, and global village come to mind.

Phantasia is about as short as it gets. Roadside's not bad depending on which routes you want to do.

I hear the zoo's approach is pretty flat. Plus, its supposed to be a good place to go when its hot.

The approach to the Zoo is far from flat. It is probably one of the worst places to go with someone on crutches

you really think scrambling up the root systems of trees is too hard for someone with crutches? come on, its just some adventure climbing on the approach.

But its pretty flat until you get to the creek. Plus, the roots allow you to use your hands when your legs might not be up to speed.

Not deep at all, its really more like a strip of ground that always appears to be wet. He may not want to wait the crutches too much because the ground is soft.
