Help with crack : )

Post by wannabecrackclimber23 »

So I am looking for a good area to crack climb but I don't know how to trad climb, so does anyone know any climbs I can lead (sport) and use the same anchors or have any suggestion? I am kinda embarassed to ask that but I am hoping my girlish charm will help me get some answers

Find a partner that knows how to trad climb. Go to Fortress where there's tons of easy trad climbs. Have your partner lead & set up a top rope & clean the gear. You can then fake-lead, placing gear as you go, but still on top rope.

I HIGHLY recommend taking a class with an AMGA certified guide. I learned tons of stuff that I didn't realize I didn't know from him.

I rapped off of kentucky pin strip on to father and son to setup a top rope sunday. worked out alright. Dhoyne's suggestion is much better.

You can TR Strawberry Shortcake from the sprort line next to it. The jams down low are sweet but the top climbs like a sport line. It's fun and easy.
