I don't doubt that Graham could crush any of the hardest crack lines out there. Some of his sickness does climb thin seams and China Beach is pretty much a crack climb. He's a sick technical climber.

Good try though.
Hell yeah, I'm sure he could. No doubt in my mind. I just think Caldwell is the better rounded climber.

Don't forget that Caldwell was regularly the winner or 2nd place finisher of the Phoenix bouldering comp for years.... hes no stranger to hard, powerful problems. Then, while having "trouble" with the steeper stuff, he established his own 14d/15a that is nearly a roof (Flex Luthor).....and a contender, with a Graham route, for hardest in the country.
He doesn't climb explosively like Graham and Sharma.... but maybe because he doesn't need to.....

That said, they all have their strengths. Caldwell is the all arounder. Graham is the endless energy. Sharma is the natural.

The dude is insane strong. So strong that Fred Nicole walks away when he sees him coming. He has repeated some of Nicole's V15s and downrated them. .
A friend of mine out here is pretty close with Dave's girlfriend and I have heard that Fred doesn't walk away because Dave is so strong but because he is so hyper and Fred finds him annoying.
It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy

I really think I prefer Dale Jr. to any of those other people. I mean damn, how can you not love a guy sponsered by Budweiser?

Forget all these sponsored super mutatns with no life other than climbing.. lets hear it for all the climbers who work 9-5 and put in the time b/c of their love of climbing to become good climbers and who have the motivation when they see a cool line to do what it takes to send!
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

Are you saying we should all look up to John Ciocci instead of Sharma and Graham? I'm game. I love you John. I'm your biggest fan. I think about you when I go to the bathroom.
