As soon as some of the mechanical bolts are replaced with glue-ins. These routes have been closed since last fall, and it looks like it will be a long time before they are reopened.

just curious as to the status of routes now. i've heard that some routes that seem to be closed have lost their flags. might be a good idea to post up which routes are closed. thanks again for keeping up on bolts and their conditions.. and for doing your best to keep the valley open to everyone.

Good observation. This list will be posted on the muirvalley.com website within a couple days. Initially we had a great effort put forth by volunteers which resulted in a little over 100 routes being inspected in the first two weeks. Unfortunately, this work has kind of fizzled out over the past 10 weeks. (It's more fun to climb and develop routes than it is to inspect them.) Liz and I continue to check lines, but many are above our ability. As we are not quite half way through the list, we would really appreciate any help. Anyone interested can pm me for details.
BTW, inspections so far show the hardware to be in excellent condition overall.
