What's Up with Sky Bridge Ridge?

Post by OB Juan »

My wife and son went there a couple weeks ago and it has all but vanished. I used to climb there a fair amount and they said you could hardly get to the wall much less descern the routes.

It is David Copperfields latest magic trick.
Did they see the cameras?

"All but vanished" would imply that your wife and son did not find the actual trail, which is there and still doing well. Maybe if they went over by Return of Geoff Beene, that trail was never very well defined and no much less so due to all the routes closing over there.

I'm not real certain what trail they went to get to the wall. I was just very suprised to hear they couldn't find it. You may be right about attempting to gain access by the wrong trail. I haven't been to the ridge in a couple years and thought, WHAT, that was a great wall. My son was in from out of state for a paddling trip and just wanted to climb for a day while I was at work. If all is well at Sky Bridge, Great!

I was there last weekend. you have to walk down the road a bit from the parking spot but the trail is there. takes you right to No Return.

Is The Return of Geoff Beene still open? Someone told me it had been closed off by the FS, but I haven't seen notice of that on the site or anywhere else.
