John Bachar is a living legend. He may come to Rocktoberfest and put on a slideshow for us. It would be an honor and a privilege to have someone of his caliber in this area. What do you think?
Oh and for those of you who aren't sure who he is, please know that I had to be educated on his importance to the national community as well 8)

Jesus only knows that she tries too hard. She's only trying to keep the sky from falling.

I'll pay for sure.
Yeah sure, I'd pay some money to see some famous climber put on a slide show and talk about climbing. Why not? Beats standing around a pond at Mark's Mt BBQ listening to a bad band. Get that famous climber to play Red River Jeapordy and I'm really in!
I've always thought that the RRGCC festival where Kauk spoke and showed his movie was a pretty popular event that got a pretty good crowd. I'm totally down with exploiting some rock climbers' star power (whether they got it from their own accomplishments or some glossy periodical) for the cause. Bachar or someone else, its all about star power baby...star power!

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
