I didn't make it to the festivities this past weekend (I'm still out of the game with a neck injury) but I just received a beautiful plaque and gifts from the RRGCC for my volunteer efforts. The gifts include a generous liquor barn gift certificate, nalgene flask, and climbing video. So uhh.... obviously we're viewed as a couple of video-watching drunks!
So thank you RRGCC for your extreme thoughtfullness. I love the plaque and am going to put it up where I work. Unfortunately for me, Ray has already claimed the flask, gift certificate, and video....but I'm okay with that.
I'd like to personally thank Roger Huang (randomboulderer) for making those cool RRG stickers. I've been seeing them all over the place and it's really cool to see them getting around. I also want to thank Diane Clark (dipsi) and Jeff Neal (Jeff) for their deep pockets and for sending in numerous donations these past several months. Once was not enough for these two. Nor was was it for Wojteck Wren in Canada, a guy who hasn't even been to the gorge and sent in two checks totalling $500. And big thanks to Morgain Sprague (Spragwa) and Paul Vidal (Paul3eb) who made my tasks sooooo much easier and a TON more fun.
And lastly but in know way any less important...thanks to everyone who donated, motivated, supported, and/or pitched in any way big or small. It's only through everyone's efforts that this year's payment was made.
Again, thanks RRGCC!
~Michelle

I likes the Liquor Barn!
Thanks Michelle and Sir for all you've done this year! And thanks for showing me the way to my up and coming wall! The wood is in the garage.........
I have said it before, and I will continue to say that I have found the most wonderful fellowship of my life with my climbing family! I always come away from the Red feeling loved. I believe the Spirit that passed over this week must have taken that feeling on his journey.
Namaste, Climbing Family. I love each of you!

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

No one deserves it more then you two. THe payment would NOT have been possible without you. There are so many people taking the initiative to raise funds independently of the coalition. You guys lit the spark.
