Watching the World Cup (Soccer)
Watching the World Cup (Soccer)
Is there any where near Slade that would have the World Cup on TV? Trying to get the very most out of the weekend of June 9-11! In a perfect world, said establishment would also serve beer...

To get the most out of your weeken i would say skip TV. you coming to climb or watch football? With that said you are pretty much SOL. The nearest place that has beer isn't going to be watching soccer, but they may take to kicking some balls. The lodge has a TV in the main lobby, where you can probably request the show. No beer at he lodge though. You could... bring in, say a bourbon and coke disguised as..... well a liter of coke. Just an option. other than that winchester/lexington.
Like me on facebook but hate me in real life
Thanks for the heads up AntiC. Maybe we can troll the state park and find an RV with direct TV... and don't get me wrong, a pilgrimage to the Red is always about the climbing…but these Northwest Ohio muscles will barely keep me on the rock for 8 hours a day… need to fill the time with something, might as well be soccer and alcohol.

If nothing else you can probably watch highlights on the interenet, I bet the major sport sites will have sections of the games you can download, and I am sure if anything particularly rad happens it will end up on youtube.com
i just finished a world cup related website. We launched it in 4 langauges and it was my first time trying to build an arabic site. I think it worked pretty well.
