Double your dollar on next year's Payment!

Post by meetVA »

Looked like this deserved a BUMP!

To kick-off the fundraising efforts for the 2007 PMRP mortgage payment, RRGCC President, Dr. Bob Matheny, has offered a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge up to $5,000 for any PMRP contributions received by the RRGCC until June 15, 2006. This match will include money raised at the upcoming RRGCC 2006 Red River Rendezvous (See: www.rrgcc.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=346) except for the event registration fees. That means any raffle ticket sales in addition to the registration, money raised from clinics, and money raised from gear sales @ Miguel's will be included in this matching challenge. The goal in this challenge is to have at least $10,000, including the challenge money, set aside by June 15, 2006 for the 2007 PMRP mortgage payment!

Oh, and in case you hadn't heard, the RRGCC is an Oh-FICIAL, 501.3 (c).

Meaning your donations are tax deductable if you go that route and are a resident of the US. I don't know if/how that would work internationally.

It's sad when you read "Oh-FICIAL, 501.3 (c)." and think it's a misprint and supposed to read 5.13(c).

can someone please post the RRGCC's federal non-profit tax ID number?

Also, non-US residents typically don't pay US taxes, so there is no tax deduction.

The RRGCC’s Employee Identification Number (EIN) is: 31-1503651 and should be referenced when reporting tax deductible contributions.

I was thinking not of paying US taxes but home-country taxes. IE Canadian citizens and whether or not there might be a mutual acknowledgement of some sort.

Canadian tax forms don't say anything about what country the donation is made in, as long as you have some form of receipt. I've used RRGCC donations before (pre-501.3(c) I think).
