$1000 dollars for the RRGCC, but i need help...

Post by heinousklimber07 »

so i'm Kasia Pietras...
and i compete in climbing comps organized by USA Climbing...
Clif Bar and USA Climbing have joined forces and are going to give a "2006 Respect teh Rock Scholarship" worth $1000...
they will base the winner on proposals submitted...
the part where i screwed up in was that i didn't post this earlier...
the deadline to give a proposal is June 1st, 2006...

what they are looking for:
How it works
Members of USA Climbing can submit their proposal for the Giving Back to he Sport Scholarhship that outlines his/her plan on how to give back to the sport. It can be anything the member thinks will benefit the sport from participating in trail clean up days, to volunteering time teaching underprivileged kids at the local gym, to hosting a website that links people to volunteer projects. Your proposal should accurately portray what your plan is and how you will implement it. We are looking for creativity and dedication in a well laid out proposal, with follow-through that is measurable.

i'll be in KY most of the summer... so i will be doing the things that are proposed... but i just need help writting a proposal... and hopefully... if it's good enough... the RRGCC will be able to get $1000...

the link is: www.usaclimbing.org and then you have to look under the "2006 Respect the Rock Scholarship"

so if anyone would like to write a proposal or list things that can be done to help the crags in the red... then please help me out... i'd really like to see this happen...

thanks...

Hey-Well, if you are committed enough to work towards next year's submission deadline; you might consider creating a 'relationship' with
THE Forest Service doing projects that intersect with purer climbing
goals. Kinda political.
Good luck.
