Maypop still popped
FYI to anyone out there who wants to get on Maypop. It's still missing one of the anchors. The bolt is there with it's threads just sticking out of the rock, but the hanger is missing. If you can get at them, the anchors on Mr. Bungle will work fine and you can lower/clean Twinkie-style.
Ticking is gym climbing outdoors.

that should probably be fixed. while the escape to Mr. Bungle's anchors is way easy in comparison to the rest of the climbed route, you'll end up a quickdraw or two short if you go by the guidebook description when racking up. i think i was only 1 short at the anchor (lowered off of 1, no biggie) because i usually bring a spare quickdraw just in case.
i suppose people can downclimb and backclean quickdraws.

The fingers you have used to dial are too fat. To obtain a special dialing wand, please mash the keypad with you palm now...........

I liked Maypop, but I just have a pleasant memory of the time I got on it. It felt right at my limit and kept my attention the whole time.
Besides, why argue about Maypop's rub level when Brother Stair is right around the corner? Talk about a route on which to focus your hatred...
