close the red
it is no wonder that the webers and mark closed thier areas. i went to fortress today and it was stupid. there was about 70 people there. dogs barking thier heads off, little kids running around like it was a play ground. one guy call down to his belayer "take" after he had cleaned the anchor. but the belayer had walked off to talk with some young girls. i picked beer cans, butts, paper, tape.... near the end of the day people had to walk back up and have cars moved because they were blocked in. up the road people were literally parked half out in the road. the list of less stupid things i saw today is longer than my arm. it is only a matter of time before this stupidity gets the whole place closed.
because i can

Good. If the guy cleaned the anchor than he should have no problem rappellng. The anchors remain safe and the other guy gets some tail. Everybody winsjohn e aragon wrote: one guy call down to his belayer "take" after he had cleaned the anchor. but the belayer had walked off to talk with some young girls.

or go to a real cliff..someplace with bolts for one. (and with more than one climb over 5.10) those things seem to thin out the crowds...
just kidding ladies. welcome to sping, when all the gumbies and families converge to take in their once a year "climbing" trip.
