No Dogs in the Gorge. Period.

Movies, music, food, blood, dogs, Horatio.....

Should the climbing community encourage a "no dogs allowed" policy?

Yes. Cliffs are for people to climb, not for dogs to socialize.

Yes. Dogs are a real distraction and people do not monitor their pets enough.

Yes. Except for a few "dog friendly" cliffs where owners and pets could go away from the crowds.

Maybe. If the pet owners don't get a clue and keep their dogs quiet and off my rope.

Once when we were in Boone, Benny, who was exhausted from a full w/e of bouldering was asleep on a large rock. This litte boy, probably about 2 years old, came up & decided to snuggle up & take a nap with him. It was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen! I don't know why we didn't get a picture. Anyway, I will continue to bring Benny to the crags that still allow dogs and will soon be bringing a kid also. So, I guess we'll be doube trouble. Watch out!!!
"God dammit why can't we just get some beer!!!"~~Tamara
