Military Wall and Left Flank CLimbing

Just a heads up for my beloved climbing community, I'll be helping with a local big brother/big sister climbing trip this saturday. i'm planning on taking the kids to mr. bungle, face up to that crack, and brother stair, then heading over to moonbeam and sunshine for the afternoon. right now, we have about 8 kids plus their parents, so we'll more than likely take these routes for several hours at a time. sorry for the inconvenience.

Aren't moonbeam and sunshine a bit too stout for new climbers?

humongous holds up a vertical wall? last time i checked they were both 5.9...and consensus has it that 5.9 is really easy. anyway, if they can't climb it, they can at least flail on toprope, which is way more fun than these kids usually have.

Matt, thanks for giving. Yes, the shine and the beam are the necessary first routes for aspiring RRG numbers chasers! After those two routes you must and I mean must, get shots of all of them on the cling!

I heard they were beginner routes anyway. Aren't they the easiest routes in RRG?

Horatio Felacio, Hi and thankyou for the heads up. We would ask that when you set up top ropes for all these nice children, will you please run the rope directly through the chains or rings or whatever the case may be. This makes for a quick and easly clean up for you at the end of the day. If you get cold build a HUGE fire close to the wall so you can stay warm. You might consider asking all the kids and their parents bring all their family pets(esp large barking dogs) to the cliff too, that makes for the perfect family outing. You'll probably have to yell and scream a lot in order to hear each other...feel free it's the great outdoors...encourage the kids to use their outside voices as much as possible. When the kids are not climbing and are bored, have then dig large holes to look for arrow heads and carve their names in trees and the rock too. Most importantly do NOT let anyone but your group climb those routes. Have a great weekend!
