Global Village Climbing

Post by meh3385 »

Hello RRG Community. Just wanted to give a heads-up that there will be a group of about 14 at Global Village on Sunday the 26th. I will be running the trip with Paul3eb. Im really sorry about any sort of inconvinience this may cause to anybody who was planning on climbing those routes, hopefully the heads-up will help out in some form. Thanks.

In case you didn't know paul is banned from the red. He really is a shady guy. And no you are not welcome to use global village on the 26th. I already reserved it. You better ~Mo~ve it somewhere else.

Thanks for giving us a heads up. It's nice to know which cliffs will have large groups.

they're good people. and just so you know we'll be on:

eureka
father and son
ky pinstripe
vision

the others we won't be touching. and please don't read this as though we're "claiming" the cliff or the climbs: they're as open as ever. it's just to let everyone know what to expect.

contact me if you have any question/comments/issues. pm works best..

and i don't disagree with you at all j-rock. i'd like to get our group size down but staff and logistics prevent us from being fully compliant (the rest of it we're on the money). that said, we keep them on the rocks mostly. that helps minimize the impact to the immediate area (cliffline). i keep looking for alternatives but it seems to be the best with what we have to work with. i'm always up for suggestions, though.

and i'd agree but then it makes it cost prohibitive. i speak for it entirely.. i used to work there but now i just help run the gorge trips.

imagine how much you'd hate us if you were at seneca the second week of april. how about three belay stations up gunsight to south peak ;) and that's after splitting up the group..

;)

While you're doing the irresponsible thing, why don't you be responsible enough to let your posse know that a group of 14 is not cool?
It's the kind of thing that gets crags, and climbing closed.
Thanks.
