What are my options for rainy/rest days at the RED?
Any Bourbon distilleries that offer tours within an hour?

Ah, bourbon... :D Yep, there are several in the Lexington/Frankfort area. We try to visit a few new ones each year. Finding them when they are actually open is the crux though.

Take up quilting

Shoot at old appliances that you have dumped on the side of the road

Leave a trail of beer cans to your favorite campsite/photo spot

Cruise town

Rent wrasslin' movies

Cash your check if its the first of the month

Go to Walmart

Go to Walmart

Watch paint dry

Watch the bug zapper (warmer weather)

Watch freeze thaw cycle (cooler weather)

Scratch yourself

Scratch someone else (if you're lucky)

Take a shower (no really)

Fry chicken

Cash in food stamps for cigarettes

Etc., etc.

the swimmin hole if it is warm

the vine that you can swing on in the woods

observing reptiles at the snake pit

hike to some of the natural bridges in the region

go grocery shopping

buy coffee at RRO and surf the internet or check email

run a web design business off of your laptop and live in the gorge for a few months using all of your free time to do your job.
