ABS, Tell your friends!!!

Post by bhuff04 »

RockQuest will be holding ABS on March 18th. Registration is going to open at 10:00 and the comp will be from 11:00 to 3:00. Prizes and raffle will go on after climbing is over.

Entry fees: $30 for ABS Members and $35 for non ABS.

Here's where it gets good...

Wes will be taking pictures throughout the comp. These pictures will be organized onto a CD and sold for $7.50. For each picture disk sold, $5 will go to the PMRP fund. It's perfect, you get sweet pictures and we all get to keep our crags.

If you've been to ABS before you know the prizes suck. We've gotten numerous vendors and local businesses to help us out and have some rather prestigious prizes. These prizes however are not ABS prizes. There will be a raffle held that is going to be supporting the PMRP. Tickets will be $3. If you want good prizes (and good climbing to stay open) you'll be inclined to buy a raffle ticket.

To make this event a worthwhile fundraiser, we need people to make the journey. Hence the name of the thread... TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!

I will be there, but I have a job fair to go to. If time constraints work out, I will be sure to crush everyone.

Is it top five problems, because I can do that pretty quickly.

Andrew, Don't make me whoop your ass. :)
Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

Are you sure you can deal with 6 feet 7 inches of cheatin every problem in the gym.

Actually I do find that most problems at comps are easier for me than other people, because of my height.

Okay here's some additions to how cool this ABS will be... remember it's in 2 weeks. We've talked with some local artists and will be having live acoustic/harmonica music playing during through the whole comp. Not only that, but I will be putting on a La Sportiva shoe demo so if your shoes suck, you can use a trial pair. Weather permitting, we may have a grill out so you won't have to head out to eat. This is going to be an awesome competition so even if it's good weather that day, head up here to support the Southern Region. Any questions pm me.
